ADMINISTRATIVE ARRANGEMENTS

1. Purpose

This document provides information on the administrative arrangements of the 9th ADMM-Plus EWG on HADR which will be held in Vientiane, Lao PDR on 14-16 December 2016.

 

2. Venue

3. Hospitality

The host will cover the cost of the meeting facilities, meeting lunch and transportation from and to the airport. Accommodation, air tickets and other additional expenses shall be borne by the participants.

 

4. Bilateral Meeting

Bilateral meeting rooms will be available during the meeting. Kindly submit the Bilateral Form to the 9th ADMM-Plus EWG on HADR Secretariat via e-mail provided in Section 12 by 05 December 2016.

 

5. Medical Facilities

Medical facilities will be provided during the meeting.

 

6. Currency

Most internationally recognised currencies and travelers’ checks can be exchanged at Wattay International Airport and commercial banks. Credit cards are also accepted in some local hotels, restaurants and shops. The exchange rate of US$1 is approximately equivalent to 8,000 Lao Kip.

 

7. Registration

The delegates are kindly requested to return the completed Registration Form to the 9th ADMM-Plus EWG Secretariat on HADR by 28 November 2016.

 

8. Attire

The attire for the meeting is working uniforms for military and lounge suits for civilian.

 

9. Electricity

Electricity plugs in Lao PDR may be different from some other countries. The electricity current is 220 V. The plug type often used in Lao P.D.R is shown below.

 

 

 

 

 

10. Weather Conditions

The weather in Vientiane in December is between 18 to 25 Degrees Celsius.

 

11. Local Time

Local time in the Lao PDR is GMT+7.
